Mentoring can provide support in the constantly changing NHS environment and lead to enhanced performance, job satisfaction and leadership skills. It can provide advice, guidance and support.

Akeso Coaching Network
A Community Interest Company, which supports professionals working in primary care who feel they might benefit from time to reflect on issues that impact on their work and life – ranging from skills and performance to more developmental areas. A trained colleague within the Akeso network will facilitate confidential sessions.

Essex Practice Manager Supporter Scheme
A scheme managed by Essex LMC, where Practice Manager Supporters provide ad-hoc help, advice and support to new, experienced and assistant Practice Managers.

GPMplus provides a streamlined model of mentoring delivered by trained mentors who all have experience of working in frontline General Practice.

More often than not, there will have been someone out there who has been through similar experiences and can help by providing you with sound guidance and inspiration on how to move forward.

South East London Mentoring Scheme
Available to all GPs working in any capacity in South East London who would like mentoring. The scheme includes six mentoring sessions and a committed mentor for up to one year. Sessions last between 60 – 90 minutes. Mentors are experienced GPs with mentoring qualifications who would like to support other GPs. For further information please contact:

Wessex LMC GP Support and Development Scheme
The scheme aims to help those who are facing difficulties that are causing them to feel unsettled in their working life and provides mentoring and coaching services. The scheme is open to all GPs working as either a Partner or Salaried within Wessex LMC membership practices located in Hampshire, IOW, Dorset, Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath & North East Somerset and the Channel Islands.
